“Yogacha Chitta Vritti Ninodaha”
“Yogacha Chitta Vritti Ninodaha” means Yoga is the brain wave’s stopping point. That is the definition for Yoga from Patanjalim, which is also what we teach. The goal of Yoga is to slow down your brainwave, which allow us to see what’s really happening.
Yoga is a joint of our soul, personal ego, and the unlimited, eternal, higher self, a concept from Cosmology’s theory. Guruji kept reminding us of all of the postures, breathing practices and various meditation techniques, all of which leads to continuously in-depth self-awareness. That is why Yoga is a science of awakening self-awareness.
Please be careful correcting student, only touch the students who require to be corrected. Don’t touch others without reasoning.
Facing beginners, must repeat over and over again. You must repeat. We are not making up thousands of poses, because the final goal of Yoga practice is meditation, you need to give them time to grow.
As a teacher, when an instruction is given out, then this instruction must be right on the point.
Instruction should start from your observation and help the student reaching firmness and stay within the pose. Once accomplished, you can give additional instructions to further the teaching.
Only when internal is firm and calm, external body can reach its freedom. Focus your attention toward inside and downward, let your chest fill up with awareness.
Sometime breathing becomes passive and it happens without awareness. Thoughts and memory in your mind further disturb it. All this should be witnessed, so you can guide it properly.
The benefit of yoga guidance reaches beyond of body alighment, paying attention to these details overtime will bring you into the meditation stage. Your mind and breathing also will help you stay within the pose.
Practicing Yoga is to let the soul find where it belongs, and you should also guide your students this way.
Greedy will eventually lead to violence. In fact, breach any of the disciplines in Yama, Niyama will lead to violence as well.
When you are pronouncing a yoga pose name in Sanskrit, your mind should be able to visualize the pose. When you are demonstrating the pose, a seed is being planted in the mind. When you are teaching the pose, now the seed will further grow out branches.
